About the Image(s)
This image was made in late spring in the Palouse area of Idaho/Washington. The seeming `aloneness’ of the old schoolhouse in the midst of a beautiful field caught my eye and I tried to capture that feeling in the photo. Any comments/suggestions are of course welcome.

This building makes a good contrast with the surrounding land. Its small size suggests that the number of pupils would of been quite small. I like your composition and the position from which you took the picture. A nice bit of detail in the sky   Posted: 08/15/2026 13:25:08
The photo has a strong, interesting subject, and the old schoolhouse stands out nicely against the bright green hues and blue sky. It has a peaceful country feel.   Posted: 08/16/2026 01:05:40
Oh, Norm, I love this photo. What a fun capture of an old schoolhouse with great sharp detail. Must admit I'm a little jealous of the sharpness as I wrestle with my Lumix focusing.
I'm wondering if there is anyway to combine last month's rainbow photo and sky with this one. Now sure if lighting would permit but might be fun to play in post processing.
Great story potential with this existing photo. What stories this building could tell.   Posted: 08/24/2026 12:45:09
