August 2026 - "Two Peas In a Pod"
About the Image(s)
The monthly theme assigned by the camera club I once belonged to was "Two," challenging members to create an image featuring two subjects. The phrase "two peas in a pod" came to mind. I clamped a pea pod against a black cloth background. I fired a Speedlight behind it for backlighting. The front was lit by an iPhone flashlight. f/14, 1/2, ISO 100, 174mm.

This image certainly fits the assignment. Back lighting the pod works well & the soft focus on the pod draws your eye to the peas. Had you considered shining the iPhone flashlight through a scrim to soften what appear to be shiny spots on the peas?

This is such a fun photo! Two peas in a pod. Love it.
Wonder what a border and keyline would look like? Just participated in a state fair competition which gave bonus points for digital matting and keyline usage. Something to play with in post.
The diagonal movement from left to right is perfect. Great job with the back lighting. Those darn cell phones sure come in handly, don't they? Just curious as to what camera and lens you used to get this shot. Very nice macro.
