About the Image(s)
When my wife's nephew visited us, we took him to Navy Pier in downtown Chicago. As he climbed the stairs toward the Ferris Wheel, I took this photo. I haven't ridden the Ferris Wheel myself, but it's one of the city's iconic landmarks.

An interesting and different viewpoint from which to photograph a Ferris wheel. I like the way the handrail leads the eye to the centre of the wheel. The person adds greatly to the composition. I feel that your choice of monochrome was spot on.   Posted: 07/12/2025 09:37:27
Hi Mel,
This to me is a wonderful & a creative image. It makes me ask, why is the fellow walking towards the Ferris Wheel?...is he going to ride? does he work on the wheel?...To me these questions add complexity to the image. I think processing the shot in monochrome was the way to go. Well done! Norm   Posted: 07/13/2025 17:52:36

It is hard to add anything intelligent to the story you are telling here. The eye is drawn into the climb to the Ferris Wheel and the climb to ride itself will take its passengers. the B&W image is perfect.   Posted: 07/14/2025 14:09:52
