Plane Face II by John Hackett

July 2025 - Plane Face II

About the Image(s)

This was taken at a transport museum on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales. It is taken from the nose of an ex Royal Air Force jet. I added some 'poster edges' to give it a bit more texture.

Hi John,
This image to me is very creative! It has an air of `other worldliness' to it. I like that you processed it in color as the grey, white & orange make for interesting contrasts. I also wonder how it would look in pure B&W. Well done!

This image resembles a human face that looks amazed. It reminds me of Ernst Hasse's "Binoculars," which features coin-operated binoculars that look like human faces. I like the soft black and white gray tones, which are nicely contrasted by the rusty orange.   Posted: 07/13/2025 22:31:03

I like the abstract nature of the image. B&W would be interesting. Another thought would be to bump the saturation of the orange.   Posted: 07/14/2025 14:03:06
