About the Image(s)
Nov 2023 Jaipur India. While my group were photographing a model and pigeons on the street I was wandering off looking for more interesting and natural subjects. I saw this woman sitting on the side of the street and I figured out she would be MY model. No cropping nor barely any edit.
Nikon z09 with a 24-120 f4 zoom @f9 ;Aperture priority ; S 1/60 ; iso 320

Your wandering paid off. Lovely image. The detail in the hands and face tell so much. Her clothes and the slight bit of sunlight on her head add to the effect. Nice job   Posted: 03/04/2025 18:58:41

Hi Adi,
This is a terrific environmental portrait. It's almost as if the woman is really sitting right in front of me. the colors are great as are the details on the woman's skin.
Well done!

Hi Adi,
An exceptional portrait. You captured the depth of character of the subject. I appreciate the texture of her face and the background. The rich color of the saree add visual impact. Well done.   Posted: 03/13/2025 16:04:00

This person and your capture are excellent. By the way under current rules this might not do well in a Photo Travel section because it looks like it was taken in a studio which is not appropriate. If one judge concludes that it probably will not be accepted. PTD images are supposed be images taken when traveling, not in a studio. I am pretty sure from the wall behind that it was not taken in a studio, but the judges can't tell.   Posted: 03/30/2025 23:16:18
Your comment is spot on and exactly for theses reasons I shy from submitting to PSA. My experience of the judging panels is not high at most.

Adi - I like this portrait a lot - was wondering did you have an opportunity to interact with her? She is very prideful evidenced by her carefully chosen dress.   Posted: 03/31/2025 20:01:46
I did interact with her but not in English   Posted: 03/31/2025 20:03:46
