On January 1st each year there is a cone parade here in Richmond. The cone is supposed to be a symbol of health and prosperity. All participants create their own "cone" garb for the parade. It is fun and colorful. This year the midday winter sun whispered black and white to me, so this is the result.

Hi Jay, This is a terrific event image. The monochrome decision really makes the smile of the person in the cone `pop'. Well seen & well handled!

I like the idea of the picture. I would recommend consider a closer view. meaning cropping more on the left side.

I like this it makes me smile. Humour in pictures appeals to me. I think it works well in monochrome, but you do mention that it is colourful, I am then left to wonder what a colour version would look like. Posted: 02/15/2025 11:12:36
