About the Image(s)

As an English migrant I’m still excited that I can have coffee on the balcony of the local surf club and watch people walk their boards into the sea and catch waves.

I used my iPhone 11 to catch the moment and used PS to straighten the horizon, crop, add vibrance and sharpness. I’m sure all the adjustments can be done in my scary new camera (lots to learn) a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra that my husband has just given me for my birthday.

There is a lot of activity to look at which keeps you busy. The more you look at it you see surfers out deeper to the right. Good cropping as well.   Posted: 07/04/2024 20:29:16

A nice documentary photo of a beach scene. There is no clear subject and my eyes are wandering over the entire composition. You might try cropping out the building and some of the sky, and lightening up the deep shadows on the 3 walkers.   Posted: 07/04/2024 20:34:41

There is a lot going on in this photo. My eye never really finds a place to settle. I would consider cropping the sky down to just above the clouds, but leave the building on the right in since it provides a frame for the beach scene. Lightening the three surfers so you can see detail in their clothes and faces would help make them the subject of the photo.   Posted: 07/12/2024 11:56:41

A fabulous place to chill out. Lots going on for the eye to wander over. The building makes a good frame to the composition. I agree to some degree with the suggestion to crop the sky a bit. I also wonder if lightening the group of 3 in the foreground slightly might help. too much and it will look wrong.   Posted: 07/12/2024 12:00:51

I agree with previous comments. There is a lot going on in this photo and I'm not sure of the main subject. As mentioned, I would crop out maybe the top two-thirds of the sky (the portion above the clouds) as this does not enhance the image.   Posted: 07/13/2024 00:44:11
