August 2026 - Corn Field

About the Image(s)

Description.

I took this picture at a friend?s ranch. I played a lot with the edition in Lightroom because I wanted to give the landscape a dramatic look, probably I went too far at darkening the photo but I am not sure.

Technical details:

Camera: Canon EOS 2000D

ISO: 3200

f point: f/8

Exposition: 1/8 s

Focal distance: 39 mm.

Very interesting image, I like the tones and the texture of the corn. Maybe add a little bit more lights and contrast, and open the shadows in the areas of the corn, add a little bit more light also on the bottom of the sky and crop a little bit on the top.   Posted: 08/12/2026 23:17:36

I like your approach to adding drama, but some of the detail is lost. As Martha mentioned, I would lighten up the corn field a bit and add contrast. I would also crop out or remove the lights on the left as it distracts from the scene. The coloring of the corn and sky is unique and is an interesting effect. It's good to think outside the box!   Posted: 08/13/2026 19:22:50

This picture shows what can be done with a bit of adjustment. I wonder if it could be a touch lighter although it is quite dramatic. I agree about the lights on the left being cropped out.   Posted: 08/15/2026 09:29:28

A very good effort at creating drama. However, most of the detail has been lost and needs to be regained. Also, crop out the lights on the left.   Posted: 08/15/2026 13:02:11

The corn is too dark. Lighten it up some and also crop over from the left to get rid of the lights.   Posted: 08/16/2026 00:23:16
