About the Image(s)
U.S.S. Constitution leading the way to start the Sail Boston Tall Ships Parade on July 11th. There were 60 ships in the parade. I took photos from Spectacle Island in Boston Harbor.

I like the symmetry of this photo and the management of the different tones of blue. Maybe decreasing the exposition of the background a little bit would help to enhance the image of the boat.   Posted: 08/10/2026 03:43:48
I can add more water on the bottom. It's the background that will be a challenge. I have lightroom/phpotposhop and Luminar NEO. Will have to review how to adjust the background in one of them.   Posted: 08/15/2026 23:55:01
Beautiful boat "portrait". If you have it in your original, consider adding more water at the bottom. Also, add contrast perhaps by using something like dehaze in lightroom/adobe camera raw.   Posted: 08/12/2026 21:54:28
Will try it.   Posted: 08/15/2026 23:55:21
Great shot of the ship sailing through the harbor. I feel the ship tends to blend in with the background. I would tone down the background and perhaps give a little more space to the bottom and in front of the ship. Nicely done!   Posted: 08/13/2026 19:33:10
Ah, love the challenge. Will try to tone down the background.   Posted: 08/15/2026 23:56:10
What a magnificent ship. I hope you got a lot more images of the other 60 as well. I like that we have an interesting background. All the crew members on the rigging are they setting the sails or is it for effect.   Posted: 08/15/2026 09:41:51
When the ship came out of Boston Harbor the sails were not up. On it's turn around they were set. I've been on a tour of the ship and there is a crew but not a full crew.   Posted: 08/15/2026 23:59:06
A great shot of this historic vessel. I agree with the comments to darken the background and add some foreground water if possible.   Posted: 08/15/2026 13:08:39
Will look at tryoing to change the background.   Posted: 08/15/2026 23:59:32
Lovely composition, I think it just needs more contrast and definition on the vessel and the sky, and Agree on adding more water on the bottom. Great Image.   Posted: 08/16/2026 20:38:26
Well I got ships mixed up. When I went to do the suggested edits I realized I had made a mistake. This is the Vespucci,Amerigo Vespucci, a historic full-rigged tall ship belonging to the Italian Navy (Marina Militare). Here is a photo of the USS Constitution. Sorry for the mixup.   Posted: 08/17/2026 21:31:17
