About the Image(s)
I took this image last year at Sombrio Beach, in Vancouver Island, BC.
Love the lighting into the falls located in a cave at Sombrio Beach, in the Southern West part of Vancouver Island. The settings in my Sony RX10 were ISO 250, lenses 9-220-23mm. F/3.5 at 1/25. I was not sure how good the image output will be, but I am very happy with the results, there were lots of people going back and forth, and people waiting for its turn, and I took the picture with no tripod. I hope you like it. And any comments or critique, welcome.

Very interesting image. If you hadn't told me its a waterfall, I wouldn't have guessed. I love the different shapes and contrasting colors - I think it would work well as an abstract if processed to emphasize them. Consider cropping out the dark area in the bottom left corner, and cropping a little from the right to move the waterfall out of the center.   Posted: 04/16/2026 00:11:43
I like this just as it is. The colours all work well together and the water adds the sparkle.   Posted: 04/18/2026 09:06:28
I agree with John that the colors work well together but I also like the curve of the wall. This makes the photo standout more.   Posted: 04/18/2026 11:53:31

It is difficult to captutre cascades in a horizontal photo, changing to vertical was a great idea though sometimes it comes at the expense of loosing part of the landscape.   Posted: 04/18/2026 17:07:54
