About the Image(s)

Description.

I took this picture at a Medieval Festival during this spring. I guess the black and white adds some more drama to the image. I played a little bit with the yellow and purple tones to highlight some specific areas.

Technical details:

Camera: Canon EOS 2000D

ISO: 125

f point: f/14

Exposition: 1/50 s

Focal distance: 55 mm.

The monster just left of center is frightening. I'd crop from the right to help emphasize him as the subject, maybe to the edge of the leaf umbrella. Maybe even as far as the umbrella handle to lose the man in the right corner. Maybe increase contrast. I assume the blouse of the woman with her back turned is white, but it looks gray on my screen.   Posted: 04/16/2026 00:19:57

What looks like a chaotic scene probably noisy as well. I think using monochrome was a good idea. I agree about a crop from the right.   Posted: 04/18/2026 09:11:14

I agree that monochrome fits this scenario. Gives it a back in time look. The croppping onthe right can help the photo as well.   Posted: 04/18/2026 11:58:27
