About the Image(s)

I recently attended a photo workshop at Caddo Lake, which is on the Texas Louisiana border. The lake is home to a large Bald Cypress forest. The trees are covered with Spanish Moss, and in the fall change color and drop their leaves. This photo was taken early in the morning, with an Egret generously posing for me. Edited in Lightroom and Topaz Photo AI. 1/2500 sec, iso 400, f/5.6, 300mm. Sony A7R5.

The first thing my eyes goes is to the Egret, and then towards it pointed with its beak, to the Spanish Moss on the trees, they are highlighted and very well showed. I think I would have like to see a little more of the lake.
Fabulous images in the link of the workshop you attended.

Very majestic photo of the egret and the background tells us the vastness of his surroundings. The compositions works well for this photo, though I might crop a little from the bottom and right. Love the photo!   Posted: 12/13/2025 15:39:09

I like this a biggish bird portrayed in a biggish chunk of landscape. Due to its colour the egret draws the eye just as it should.   Posted: 12/16/2025 13:46:46
