About the Image(s)
I attended a Cowboy Poetry and Music concert last month. I took this photo of two of the performers as they were waiting their turn at the microphone. The event was outdoors, but the stage was covered and facing east with a dark gray curtain background. It was a few hours from sunset, so the sky was just a giant softbox . Sony A7R5, 300mm, 1/320 f/5.6 iso 400. Edited in Lightroom.

Great shot of their expressions. I wouldn't change anything on it.   Posted: 07/11/2025 00:43:45
Great expressions of concentration on the subjects and maybe a touch of apprehension before there performance. It tells us more than a more portrait picture of them posing for the camera.   Posted: 07/12/2025 09:16:23

Congratulations, you did a great job capturing the expressions of the two subjects. I really admire the use you made of the resouurces you had at hand.   Posted: 07/12/2025 21:30:39
Great expression on both of their faces and the lighting throughout is perfect - especially under their cowboy hats. The white shirts are not blown out but show great detail - what's your secret? Beautiful portrait - I wouldn't change a thing!   Posted: 07/15/2025 01:00:58
What a great portrait Sheldon, is like you are watching them, all the details on their clothing, and their perplexes showing in their eyes and faces. I wonder how was the background.   Posted: 07/15/2025 06:29:24
