About the Image(s)

This was an art installation in Liverpool Anglican Cathedral.
It is a representation of the sun. The picture does not give the scale of the sun, next to my shooting position was a glass box containing a tennis ball sized representation of the earth in scale with the sun.

Very Cool! Phot is well cropped on the left and right. Sun is well centered.   Posted: 07/11/2025 00:33:55

Taking into account the location this was taken then maybe the title should be 'here comes the sun'   Posted: 07/12/2025 09:29:06

Interesting subject, the angle must have been diffcult. It is sometimes complicated to capture a vertical image using a digital camera, but you did well.   Posted: 07/12/2025 21:18:14

Wow! Hot photo - pun intended! Good even lighting, which must have been difficult based on your location. The sun is not blown out and shows nice detail. If possible, I would have tried to remove the head of the person standing in the foreground and the red sign on the left.   Posted: 07/15/2025 00:38:28

My first impression is that the is on the air, nicely separated from the background , lots of details in the sun with a beautiful light.
Great image with amazing details!!!

Very interesting contrast between the sun and the Cathedral, both from a color/brightness an old/modern perspective. Was the sun centered in the Cathedral? If it was, was it possible to move a little left so that the picture was more symmetric. Shooting from a lower angle might also have brought the sun higher up in the image.   Posted: 07/28/2025 02:33:05
