About the Image(s)
Angry Birds was shot on a recent trip to Costa Rica - warning: there will be lots of bird photos in future submissions. The photo was taken with a Nikon Z8, 600mm focal length, 1/1000s, f/6.3, ISO 5000, EV +1.
Post processing included enhancing color saturation, brightened exposure, cropped, and removed a banana to look a little more like the wilderness.

Amazing picture. I wish I could capture such a scene one day. Probably I would have liked to see more of the right birdīs body but other than that it is an excellent shot.   Posted: 04/16/2025 02:28:54
A well caught moment. You could say it would be nice to see a bit more of the bird on the right, but you just had to get the moment as it happened. Right place at the right time. Well done   Posted: 04/18/2025 10:25:46
Agreed! More of the bird would have been nice. I wasn't quick enough, but happy with what I got.   Posted: 04/20/2025 15:47:05
Beautiful capture your image of "Angry birds", very sharp and colours are great, as well as the composition, and the detail of the feathers and the leaves that compliments very well the overall of the image. Did you run Denoise. I see you have used high ISO.
I notice you have change your camera, (my actual camera is Sony RX10 as the one you have before, I think).

Just about every picture I took in Costa Rica I had to run through DeNoise because of high ISO. The light wasn't always good and I needed fast shutter - it was a constant balancing between shutter and ISO. I mostly use a Nikon Z8, but recently got a Sony RX10 for long hikes or when I don't want the weight of the Nikon. It's a good little camera with some cool special effects features - I'm having fun with it.   Posted: 04/20/2025 15:45:13
An excellent capture of bird behavior. Very sharp detail of the feathers and the eyes have some catchlight for emphasis. I have been on two photo trips to Costa Rica and am looking forward to your upcoming entries.   Posted: 04/20/2025 18:09:16
