About the Image(s)

This image was taken during my Ecuador Photo Workshop in 2020 at our venue high up in the Andes Mountains. We were on a walk through the forest and found this beautiful bird serenading to all prospective mates. The unusual flower perch adds to the appeal of the photo.

Great capture and composition, especially the blurred background and plant leading in diagonally from the right. I think it might benefit from cropping out about 1/3rd of the space between the top edge and bird to eliminate some of the negative space.   Posted: 03/14/2025 13:03:05

A picture taken at just the right time to watch this little bird tweeting. You captured both the beauty of the animal and the plant where it is posed. Well done!   Posted: 03/14/2025 17:25:18

Beautiful image of a bird serenading! Bokeh looks great, composition of the branch and bird is impressive, but as Sheldon mentioned, a little cropping off the top would eliminate the empty space and improve composition. Otherwise, great photo!!!   Posted: 03/16/2025 16:01:22

Well captured with the bird singing. Good composition and that perch is brilliant.   Posted: 03/18/2025 03:46:03

Perfectly capture the bird calling to its peers. Love the vibrant colours of the bird contrasting with the background, and as you said the unusual flower that compliments so well with your composition. The only thing that my eyes got distracted is the object on the bottom right area.   Posted: 03/20/2025 07:02:09

Timing is everything and this is a good example of it. Sharpness and detail are great.   Posted: 03/23/2025 14:27:03
