Interesting artifact from a different time. Monochrome works well. Consider cropping bottom, maybe to just below the weld seam, to bring more focus to the anchor, and balance to the image.   Posted: 02/12/2025 17:50:16

thanks for the comment. There was a bit of logic to the crop of the picture. I was trying to include all of the shadow.   Posted: 02/14/2025 09:55:52

I like the edition an the general blueish color of the picture. Interesting, but I used to dream of a similar anchor when I was a little boy, I do not know what it meant. I also think that there is probably too much space at the bottom that is not adding much to the main subject. I agree that cropping would be a good idea.   Posted: 02/13/2025 03:02:45

Good to see my former group is still punching out outstanding imagery!   Posted: 02/13/2025 17:44:46

I like the detail, texture, and monochrome treatment. Very nice work John. I agree with the cropping comments/   Posted: 02/13/2025 20:16:57

I like it as it is. I think the shadow is important and shouldn't be cropped out.   Posted: 02/16/2025 01:47:41

Great monochrome image, you can see all the details of the anchor warship. I think a square cropping will give more balance to the image.   Posted: 02/17/2025 06:30:50

The monochrome image and sharp detail are this image's strongest qualities. While I understand the desire to include the entire shadow, I agree with prior comments that it doesn't add to the image - I would crop the bottom as previously suggested; perhaps a square crop would work well as Martha commented.   Posted: 02/18/2025 15:00:00
