About the Image(s)
When I was in Berlin a few months ago, I went on a photo tour with a local photographer who lent me a rickety tripod. This is the Berlin Cathedral, taken from a bridge over the Spee river (I had to time the shots because the bridge shook when a car went by, took a few to get a good one). 26mm, f/6.3, 30 seconds, iso 100. Edited in Lightroom and Topaz Photo AI. Happy Holidays to all.

Very well-done Sheldon. Your timing was perfect and yielded this great city-scape.   Posted: 12/11/2024 22:32:17

Good picture, especially if the bridge was vibrating every time a car passed by. Maybe I would have tried to position the cathedral more on the left hand side to avoid the distraction of the bridge and the building behind, though you can do that in post-edit.

You did a great job with the "rickety tripod". So much detail of this beautiful building and the right exposure and composition. I also like the perspective of the promenade on the right towards the cathedral.   Posted: 12/13/2024 10:28:03

The horizontal approach to this is what makes it look good. Showing part of the bridge and having the right side lead you to the cathedral gives the viewer a good sense of field and perspective. I like this and you did really well with the shaking situation.   Posted: 12/14/2024 14:50:32

I think you took this at the right time of the evening, the slight blueness of the sky is far more appealing than dense black. Timing was also good to avoid the vibrations from traffic on the bridge. I like the composition.   Posted: 12/15/2024 11:08:01
