About the Image(s)
Whist driving around in the North of England we stopped to take in the scenery and a few snaps. I saw this slightly sad looking bit of wall, and I felt I had to record it. Monochrome seemed to me to be the right feel for the picture.

Very good picture, I like the concept of the wall. The contrast in the black and white image is very good. I would probably add some vignette in Lightroom or Photoshop to create a dramatic effect.   Posted: 11/03/2024 23:40:21

I like the perspective, how the gap is positioned in the frame and monochrome treatment. I think the contrast could be improved - I don't see any true blacks or whites on my monitor. I think the drama in the sky would be improved, and would add a lot to the image.   Posted: 11/13/2024 04:28:39

you are right about a contrast boost   Posted: 11/13/2024 11:54:20

This is the type of photo that should only be in BW. I agree with more contrast in the sky. It would assist in separating the clouds just above the wall and darken the clouds towards the top a little. Great opportunity and rare for a photo.   Posted: 11/16/2024 00:08:03

Very nice photo John. I agree with getting some drama in the sky. In Lightroom, the Clarity and Dehaze sliders can work wonders.   Posted: 11/18/2024 02:14:42

Very nice picture, I like how the wall kind of blends into the horizon and the sky. Agree also with a little bit more of contrast in the sky.   Posted: 11/20/2024 02:36:34

I love this in BW, I agree with you all. A bit of contrast to get the clouds to pop more might help. Great detail in the wall and the composition provides a leading line that draws you in.   Posted: 11/21/2024 12:40:45
