About the Image(s)
I visited Toledo Ohio’s Calvary Cemetery about six years ago. I was impressed with their beautiful rotunda mausoleum and chapel which I photographed using my infra-red converted camera (which I seldom use anymore). I photographed the building using a very wide angle lens. The original converted image had a lot of distortions and lacked contrast. In Photoshop I straightened some of the diagonals, cropped to improve the composition and increased the contrast.

This is very interesting. At first, I wondered about the clouds, but then I saw them echoed in the stones in the chapel. It all works rather well in my opinion.   Posted: 09/03/2023 22:00:58

I also thought the "buttermilk" clouds were a distraction, until I saw the leaf patterns in the foreground. They create a nice balance to the sky. Some images look good with wide-angle curves, but straightening this one was a good choice. It might have been nice to be able to read some of the closer inscriptions to add to the mood of the image. Nice image - I can almost feel the shade!   Posted: 09/13/2023 18:05:14

It's me again, Jim. One of my B&W images is featured for the month in the Home page. It's the last one.   Posted: 09/13/2023 18:08:40
I really like your new version. It looks less busy and brings more focus to the building.   Posted: 09/24/2023 09:30:48
