Hi Sheldon, First off I looked at the color original photographed in early morning soft light, really like the lighting gradations on the monuments under the tree arch. Just a very well done natural scenery picture.
Your monochrome conversion is very dramatic in character. The super sharp detail really adds to the overall impact. Just excellent post processing.
From a composition viewpoint you have positioned the various monuments close in and far to to enhance the scene.
Great Work.

Hey Sheldon, very well composed. I love that you chose the juniper to frame the butte. A scene rarely seen. Nicely developed in B&W which shows strong geometric elements.   Posted: 07/11/2026 12:25:30
Sheldon,
I agree with the others. The composition is excellent and works beautifully in monochrome. Processing is spot on for the subject with a good range of tones. I'm only sorry that I missed this scene when I was there last year!   Posted: 07/11/2026 23:14:46
