I took this picture in August this year in Munich, Germany. We had been in a cafe in the 5th floor of an ancient building. The way down I saw this staircase - but I had no tripod with me. I tried to make the best out of this situation. The params: Canon R5, Ap. 8, shutter speed 1/60, ISO 4000 with a 24-70mm Sigma at 24mm.
I realized the different tint, so I decided to convert it in monochrome.

Spiral staircases make for such compelling images and this is an excellent example of why. I love the angle from which you made this creating a classic golden mean type composition. The processing is exactly right and I really like that you allowed the top of the staircase to blow out - it creates a sense of the staircase going up to eternity. Hi Peter: First of all I would like to congratulate you on achieving the Galaxy 1 rating in the Projected Image Division Monochrome Class. That is a special achievement you can be proud of.
