We have been once more in Hamburg / Germany cause there are so many interesting points. Indeed, this building is called „View Point“. The entrance hall has a huge glass wall. You are looking on the other side of the Elbe river with the great container harbour. People can walk outside along the building. The idea, to take this photo in monochrome and color as well was born before we started the trip to Hamburg. So we have to wait for passers-by. A little game with the patience…

I very much like the symmetry and repetition, which is broken by the man with the dog - and as a result making him the focal point of the image. I wonder what it would look like with the top windows cropped out. I think it would bring more emphasis to the dock cranes and man, but still leave plenty of repetition in the window grid and side windows.   Posted: 04/21/2025 03:45:26
