About the Image(s)

While visiting London in 2024 with Grandkids, the London Eye was the #1 choice for all 3. While I didn’t have any preconceived photo planned, the view from the top was too good to pass up, so I am submitting the original color version and the B&W byproduct.
Shot with Apple iPhone 15 Pro (my wife insisted that I leave my ‘good’ camera at home) at 1/7100 sec, f 1.8 and ISO 100 handheld. Imported into LR Classic and adjusted using the new selective filters on the color version to adjust exposure and dodge & burn, plus cropping. Converted into B&W within LrC using their standard filter offering.
I was surprised with the final image, thinking it came from my DSLR.

Very good skyline of Londen, Jim! The portrait format is perfect to show the Themse flowing. What a pity, that the 'eye' is not complete. Only you know if it could be possible toplace it in the midst of the foreground. Perfect in grey scale!   Posted: 02/15/2025 04:51:12

Jim,
My wife and I visited this area a number of years ago, but we were too cheap to do the Eye. I think now we were too hasty! This is terrific and monochrome works beautifully here.   Posted: 02/16/2025 00:53:59
