About the Image(s)
This picture was taken as the sun was setting and a storm was moving in at White Sands National Park. The waves of the sand dunes were rim lit by the sun, and the streaks coming down from the clouds are virga, rain that isn't reaching the ground. 1/400 sec at f/5.0, iso 100, 100mm. Edited in Lightroom, Photoshop, and Silver Efex Pro 2

Sheldon, what a wonderful landscape! I like the smooth light crawling over the sand. This gives the photo a perfect texture! The sky looks dangerous and the earth very calm! No suggestions!   Posted: 02/15/2025 04:39:42
I really like this, Sheldon. My wife and I visited this place for the first time a couple of years ago and enjoyed it immensely though I didn't get anything nearly as nice as this. You caught the shapes and textures beautifully.   Posted: 02/16/2025 00:46:08
