I saw this on my morning run and fortunately had my phone with me to get a picture.

Good eye! I'm fairly certain that I miss a lot of good shots because I forget that I have a camera with me in the form of my iPhone.
You may have been going for a more ethereal look but I masked the tree and sharpened it a bit to make it stand out. I also sharpened the foreground to create more separation between the foreground and the soft background. No dramatic changes, just a couple of minor tweaks. Posted: 10/04/2026 17:20:29

Lovely minimalist image. The light is very pleasing to my eye. The mist and colors have a calming effect. The shadow beneath the tree adds interest. Love everything about this image. I like this shot, Doug. Very minimalistic, as Barbara suggested. The backlight of the morning sun hitting the tree and foreground, with the fog in the background, really adds to the image. Great shot! Posted: 10/07/2026 18:06:48
Douglas, Tree in mist is very calming. I like the gradient shades from light to dark against the mist. The image also has a golden glow. I wouldn't change a thing ... but maybe consider cropping the foreground a bit. My eye keeps falling there. Great catch! Posted: 10/09/2026 19:55:06
