About the Image(s)
This photo was taken near Lake Champlain NY while standing on a very tall bridge on a very windy day. I have an aversion to heights, so I wasn’t long standing on the bridge before heading back to solid ground. Made adjusted using most of Lightrooms Basic tools within the Develop module and Generative fill in photoshop to eliminate two structures. Comments and any recommendations are welcome.

Jim, you've really succeeded with the editing. The
water has a matching color in the sump, slightly turquoise. The structures in the rock are now more visible and the green looks natural. The composition guides the viewer through the image.
I would crop the image a little at the bottom, for me the bridge would then no longer be too far up. But that's just my opinion.

Thank you Sabine. The bridge was problematic for me while composing the image and in post processing, but I will try your suggestion and repost along with Yvonne's suggestion.   Posted: 04/12/2025 15:27:31
Jim, I agree with Sabine great job in editing. The water and greens are so crisp. However, I like parts of your original image which emphasis the bridge. Wondering how'd it look cropping out the right waterfall.   Posted: 04/11/2025 18:32:19
Thank you Yvonne. I applied both your suggestion as well as Sabine's suggestion, and I think your idea's work well. I am torn though, between the image with three water falls vs. two. Like most of my reworks, it takes multiple reviews over time before I decide which I like better, or maybe both. Thanks again Yvonne.   Posted: 04/12/2025 15:32:22
First of all - I feel and share your "aversion" (such a much better word than "fear"!). I live on the 16th floor of a condo building and have a large balcony that took me a little time to get used to!
Secondly - you handled the cropping and fill very well. I struggle with photos with lots of competing horizontal lines trying to figure out which one(s) to use as the standard. You have the bridge and the strata of the rock - all of seems to work well.
Thank you for sharing and I always love to see the before and after!

What a nice scene, I can almost "hear" the waterfalls. And, what interesting geology, the rock structure is not something I would see where I live. Your editing out the structures was well done.
I like the version with the three waterfalls, though I am unsure about the placement of the bridge in the composition. It seems a little better balanced with the crop with two waterfalls. Either way, my eyes just keep going through the whole scene. Nice photo, Jim.   Posted: 04/14/2025 18:07:38

Thanks Randy. For now, I have to live with the bridge in either photo until I find another solution.   Posted: 04/15/2025 02:42:13
Stunning landscape, Jim-so many waterfalls in one frame, it's mesmerizing! I love the sense of movement in the water, and the updated edit really enhances the scene with those more luxurious greens in the trees.   Posted: 04/15/2025 05:36:31

Thanks Sylvia for taking the time to play with this. I never thought to rid the image of the bridge, but your crop does look pretty good. It might be a little tight at the top, so I intend to play with your idea using photoshop's generative fill and create a little more image at the top after removal of the bridge. Thanks again Sylvia.   Posted: 04/18/2025 20:20:24
