Just playing with my Fugifilm X-Pro 3 and spotted this scene at an auto repair shop. The X-Pro 3 encourages you to shoot intentionally. Much of the post processing is done in Fugifilm X Raw Studio changing film simulations.

Yvonne,
You have captured this scene beautifully! It tells a very interesting story.
Is it a mannequin in the phone booth?   Posted: 03/09/2025 14:06:31

It is a mannequin. Pretty weird...right! Thanks for your comments.   Posted: 03/16/2025 19:54:21

The first thing I had to do was look up the details about the camera since I was intrigued by the comment about intentionality! Here's a short little YouTube about it if anyone else is interested:

Love the scene - and it's a bit jarring when you think that phone booths were ubiquitous not many years ago and now are museum pieces!

Really enjoy this photo - street photography (like other types) gives endless scenes!   Posted: 03/09/2025 14:41:16

Your phone booth comment is so true! I pass this mural weekly and never knew the artist Richard Haas has installed murals throughout the country and Germany. Here's a little information below. Thank you for your comments.   Posted: 03/16/2025 20:03:28

Yvonne, I had to smile and chuckle seeing this image of someone inside a phone booth wearing a cape, with his/her back to you. Very curious. Lots to see in this photo with color, a wall mural depicting a time long ago and posted, or painted beer advertisements and a wall, but more curious about the caller in the booth. I've become a fan of street photography since being a member of this group and your photo doesn't disappoint. Like Douglas, I had to research your camera and learned something new. Thanks for that. No recommendations for improvement, Great job!   Posted: 03/10/2025 14:14:39

Yvonne, My first glance falls on the phone booth and I wonder about 2 things:
First, why is there a phone booth there, do they even still exist in America? Secondly, what is the person doing there?
Then my gaze wanders to the left and right, I read and slowly a story emerges in my head. I can let my imagination run wild! That's great!
I also like the colors, the color of the cape can be found in the writing on the wall, the color of the wall on the left can be found on the right.
The colors are very harmonious.
Personally, I would straighten the phone booth. One small detail that bothers me. But that's just my opinion.   Posted: 03/13/2025 14:08:08

I haven't seen a phone booth in America in years! And the booth is actually crooked. Under Jim's comments I posted information about the mural artist Richard Haas who has installations in Germany. Thank you for your comments.   Posted: 03/16/2025 20:13:56

Yvonne, your image 'Lois Lane' immediately draws the eye into the tilted phone booth, which exudes a mysterious, almost spooky vibe. The vibrant cap worn by the figure adds a striking contrast to the scene. I noticed the mural on the right, especially the quirky painting that reads 'Oil Change for $2.25'-this detail, along with the garage name, helped me deduce the location might be a gas station and deepens the narrative. Overall, it's a uniquely captivating image that truly piques my curiosity!   Posted: 03/13/2025 21:10:27

I agree. Taking the photo that close to the phone booth spooked me out! Thank you for your comments.   Posted: 03/16/2025 20:16:05

Yvonne, what an interesting scene to come across, I like it. The colors with the painted mural and the green fence/gate with the beer signs adjacent to the red wall just make this photo more interesting. The way the scene is set up, I also wonder who the "person" making the phone call is calling. Or, is she changing into her superhero costume? My only suggestion on the photo would be to have a little more space above "Dixie" and the "e" with garage included in the image.   Posted: 03/14/2025 16:33:23

Of course they're changing into a super hero...lol. I noticed too late that the "e" was left out . However AI would not cooperate. Thank you for your comments.   Posted: 03/16/2025 20:18:50
