About the Image(s)
I’ve heard about ICM-Intentional Camera Movement - I haven’t seriously tried it, but I do seem to get some unintentional images that look kind of cool, which I call Accidental Camera Movement. I was trying to slow down the water in the image before and pushed the shutter as I was standing up.

I'm pretty sure ICM started out as ACM, followed by exactly your observation, "Hey, this looks cool!". One of the things ?CM seems to do is highlight the colors in a scene, and it does that beautifully here. I especially like where the saturated blue meets saturated orange at the right third. Nice!   Posted: 08/01/2026 22:34:41
Thanks! One of these days I will try to do it deliberately.   Posted: 08/01/2026 23:30:27
An abstract image with a great color palette, and a composition that ties everything together. I like it!   Posted: 08/21/2026 04:24:34
This is lovely ICM work - I really enjoy images like this. They have such a soft, painterly feel, and yours has wonderful motion blur and gorgeous color transitions. It feels intimate and very thoughtfully controlled. Truly excellent work. I've shared a few of my own ICM pieces in this forum before, so it's always a joy to see others exploring the technique too.   Posted: 08/22/2026 17:45:58
Thanks! I will look back through posts and see if I can find some of yours. This one was accidental, altho my camera was set on a slow shutter speed when I accidentally moved my camera.   Posted: 08/22/2026 20:58:55
