Taken from our house in March on a wintry afternoon. Minutes later, it snowed. As there was little colour, I converted the image to monochrome which conveys the feeling of the moment.

I really like this. The dark sky at the top balances the dark ground at the bottom in a way that makes the composition hold my attention strongly. The bright lower sky makes the tree silhouettes stand out strongly. And the middle sky adds drama without stealing the show. Very successful! Posted: 08/01/2026 22:31:55
