That Bald Eagle showed up at the right time for you! Nice light and color. My only suggestion would be to crop off some of the bottom, either making it a wide image if you wanted to keep the sun in or crop the bottom and the right side.   Posted: 04/09/2026 23:35:01

What a surprise to see the Herons' nests with the stellar visitor! This is a great story. I think it would work with a crop from the right with the eagle on a line one third into the image.   Posted: 04/14/2026 19:50:30

The eagle is getting a little bit lost against the background but with something like this you don't have the option to always get it 100% right in camera every time. Well done to get the eagle plus the trees with the nests.   Posted: 04/16/2026 18:25:56

The herons in their nests provide a background for the flying eagle. It's a little cluttered, but that's nature. You might be able to selectively pull some more detail and hue in the eagle if you wished. I like the soft sunrise hues at the right edge, but agree about trying a crop from the bottom.   Posted: 04/18/2026 18:15:17

Very cool! I quite like the light coming through the eagle's tail feathers, and how that connects to the sunlight peaking in on the right edge of the frame. I do feel that the eagle is getting upstaged by all that background, but hate the idea of loosing that sun. So here's a radical crop that breaks some rules, but which I think makes the eagle the clear star of the show, while still including enough herons and nests to tell the whole story. What do you think? Is it too radical?   Posted: 04/18/2026 20:44:47
