About the Image(s)
I took this recently from a ridge overlooking Silicon Valley, California. Below the morning fog lies the Apple donut, the Google campus, several freeways, a couple of bridges over the San Francisco bay, the campus of Stanford University, the skyline of San Jose ... all erased, leaving a scene that looks almost as it would have hundreds of years ago, before the arrival of Europeans.

Nice timing to get the fog.Good depth of field. I like the composition and the three layers. The tree also leads the viewer into the image. If anything, I might darken the mountain range in the background. Nice image.   Posted: 04/09/2026 23:14:07
Nice job imagining the before of what is there now. It looks timeless now. I love the layers and the atmosphere. It might also be a candidate for black and white.   Posted: 04/14/2026 19:46:00
Very nicely layered - pity there wasn't a bird in the foggy area to act as a focal point.   Posted: 04/16/2026 18:21:20
Incredible! A timeless view. Under the fog could just be an empty bay for all that one can tell. It's also remarkable how clear both foreground and background are, in spite of the fog enveloping the valley. Well captured indeed!   Posted: 04/18/2026 18:05:33
