Window of a 400 years-old house (same one from last month) at Kuti village, at 12,300' altitude in Pithoragarh district of the Uttarakhand Himalayas, the last village in India en route to Adi Kailash peak. Canon EOS XTi with Tamron EFS 10-24 mm f/3.5-4.5 IS USM lens @ 24 mm. f/11 @ 1/25 sec. ISO: 400. Perspective correction applied.

I think the perspective correction is a good idea for something like this where slanted lines would distract from the symmetry. I enjoy the blue/gold palette, and also wonder if including more of the stonework on the right would be an improvement. Not being familiar with this area, I find the solid wood an interesting different sort of window.   Posted: 07/25/2025 18:09:12
