About the Image(s)
This was made from a high-resolution panorama stitch of San Francisco taken from Treasure Island. I wanted to find some way to present it with an aspect ratio that wasn't crazy wide, so I decided to turn it into a circle. Initially, I tried making a 'tiny planet', but ended up liking this inverted approach better, since I've long been fascinated with the idea of rotating space stations.
It's a rough first attempt to explore the concept. Please let me know your thoughts about how to grow it into something better.

It works fine and I like the idea about space stations. Only tried something like this once but with the skyline sticking out from the circle - that worked for me.   Posted: 04/17/2025 07:42:15
I haven't tried this circular idea before. I like the details in the building and the extract.
Perhaps you could create a sense of interplanetary movement by manipulating the background with a zoom or radial effect. I'm not sure which PS filter would work best.   Posted: 04/17/2025 18:08:56
