The photo was taken in WB India. A white-throated Kingfisher was eating the fish. I took the photo. It was taken by my Nikon D 850 camera with Nikon 500 mm PF lens. Shutter speed was 1/2500 seconds, f/5.6 and ISO was 500.

I wish I could see this one bigger! I like where you positioned the Kingfisher and all the space you gave it on the left. If this were mine I'd want to see how it looked with the background lightened and desaturated a bit. I'm not sure about having the branch almost touch the left edge of the frame, but I'm leaning toward "it works".   Posted: 04/18/2025 16:34:56

Aishwarya, your image of a White-throated Kingfisher is outstanding. It is sharp as a tack and the slight forward turn of the head with a fish in it beak really makes it. I do feel that there is too much room in front of the bird so I took the liberty and cropped it slightly. What do you think?   Posted: 04/20/2025 00:22:57
