About the Image(s)
Shot on 8-3-23 with my Canon R6 MK2. Zoom lens set at 68 mm, f/6.3, 1/20 sec. on a tripod. About 30 exposures taken in as rapid succession as possible were combined into one photo using a program called StarStaX. After painstakingly removing all the light trails from airplanes, and denoising and slight exposure adjustments, this is the results.

To me the photo looks good. Aesthetically it is nice. Lot of work to get a single one. What do the dot in the center represent?   Posted: 03/16/2025 19:07:36
Pole star, I expect.   Posted: 03/22/2025 10:20:22
Nice image with lots of details. I suggest lighting up the landscape to set off the star trails.   Posted: 03/20/2025 13:34:30
Well done. How many minutes of exposure does the image represent? The image can benefit from a border, especially when seen in the preview.   Posted: 03/22/2025 10:23:21
I like how you positioned the pole star in the frame. The center of the circle and the mound of trees both draw my eye to the right of the frame, and the star trails lead back to the left, so this composition keeps my eyes moving, which I think is a good thing.   Posted: 03/26/2025 06:39:30
