February 2025 - Mountains of the Sky

About the Image(s)

Can you tell which are the hills and which are the clouds?
John Muir called clouds the majestic mountains of the sky. ("My First Summer in the Sierra")
The Brahmanda Purana poetically relates how in ages of yore, the mountains had wings, and created havoc. So Indra took his thunderbolt and cut off their wings, forcing the mountains to crash to the ground. Clouds who once travelled with flying mountains come each year to meet their now immobile old friends, resulting in rain.
Photographed on Vivo V23e 5G @ 96 mm f/1.8, 1/33 sec. ISO: 1248.

Almost like a painting. It is very dreamy. I would denoise the photo. Nice composition and dreamy photo.   Posted: 02/17/2025 14:58:17
