About the Image(s)
Great Blue Heron, cleaning its beak on a branch. Taken shortly after sunrise: 400mm, F/5.6, 1/640, ISO 200. In post-processing I attempted to give it a dreamy look.

Beautiful lighting on the Heron. The branch and it's reflections add to a lovely image.   Posted: 12/16/2024 15:50:45

Wow. Excellent minimalist image with superb lighting. The eyes of the Heron came out well too. Great work.   Posted: 12/20/2024 02:35:26

Super composition and subtle tones! The curved horizontal twig and its reflection resemble a pair of spectacles, complete with a pair of eyes within! Then there is the triangle formed by the bird's beak, its reflection and legs. The hint of reddish-orange colors from the rising sun in the blue heron's flank are the icing on the cake.   Posted: 12/20/2024 12:39:41

I was wondering if anyone would notice the spectacles!   Posted: 12/22/2024 04:26:37

The color pallet of the entire shot is great, strong composition and lighting adds to the overall appeal and presentation.   Posted: 12/20/2024 18:51:18
