Oh those dreamy Himalayan lakes. Would love to go there. The sky lacks details. Otherwise nice work in composition and the lady sitting in the front of lake adds to the overall emotion of the image.   Posted: 12/20/2024 02:41:49

Great photo and composition. The lack of detail in the sky is somewhat distracting but otherwise good work.   Posted: 12/20/2024 18:43:18

I like the composition quite a lot, especially how the slope coming down from the upper left leads to the sitting woman, and how her orientation sends me back into the frame to explore further. I also enjoy how the curves of the lake shore, top and bottom, sit in the frame. I think the strong gold/red colors, although striking, are stealing attention away from the other wonderful aspects of this scene. I would try desaturating them to see what happens. My sense is that the contemplative nature of the image would come forward more clearly. Also, about the sky: It is hard to say for sure but I see hits of texture up there that I suspect is recoverable, which makes me curious -- is the white sky an artistic choice you made? If so, I have a feeling that desaturating the red/gold/orange tones would sit well with that choice.   Posted: 12/22/2024 04:46:48
