Sending you a photo taken during the Kandy Festival in Sri Lanka. This photo is about the facade of a temple brightly illuminated and its reflection in a nearby pool/river. Photo taken with a Nikon D750 fitted with a 28-300mm lens, handheld, no flash used. Focal length 32mm; shutter speed 1/50s; aperture f/3.5; shutter priority mode used.

Wow! Lots of lights,Blacks and whites, some colored flags and a subdued penthouse. I think I would do some contrast changes with the dodge and burn tool on the 3 layers below the pent house. I would then make the flags pop out with their colors. Make it look like a celebration! I would play with removing that darkened building on the left and its reflection. Bring out those flags would be where I start.
You might even consider a Kandy colored gradient on the whole photo. Lots of possibilities here. Have fun with this one.   Posted: 09/11/2023 15:47:16

Very colorful and striking image. I like the contrast between the yellow lights and blue in the center. The exposure and contrast is very good to have nothing blown out. I do like what Judith did to straighten it.   Posted: 09/12/2023 17:10:31
