About the Image(s)
Garden iris. After it rained. Large depth of field. (I am not home so can’t see the settings.) Canon Digital Rebel 7ti with L 24 to 70 zoom. I selected the flower, cut it out to a new layer. Filled the hole on the background layer and Gaussian blurred it a lot.

The iris is definitely photogenic with it beauty and varying contours. The water droplets really add. Creating negative space also adds to your creative image. Excellent. Posted: 08/06/2023 23:39:54

Sharp clear image. Would I have changed anything? Perhaps rotated the flower a bit to make it diagonal(attempted to do that(as attached). Perhaps I would have shot with a wider aperture and thrown out the the darker bit of the iris to focus on the lighter bits with the water drops. But then easier said the done. Love the image. Nice sharp flower with good blurred background. It is not what we normally see in an iris flower photo, because it looks a bit beaten down by the rain. This adds some interest, and the rain drops add to the image. Posted: 08/20/2023 17:38:25
