About the Image(s)
I was walking through a local nature preserve looking for birds or anything interesting to photograph. Usually these swallows are whipping through the air, but this one landed and proceeded to do some grooming. It struck this interesting pose for a second and I was happy to capture it holding still for a moment. It is cropped in a bit, but otherwise minimal editing.
Taken with: Canon R3, 100-400mm at 400, f/5.6, 1/1000 sec, ISO 320.

You captured the bird in an unusual pose, and with the feathers fanned out. The image is sharp, and you even have a catch light in the eye. I reversed the image so that the wooden area makes a lead in to the bird. Also, the fanned out feathers make a stopping point to hold the eye in the frame.
