May 2025 - Poppies in a Vase
About the Image(s)
As springs starts getting itself organized here in the UK, the first bright orange poppies appear. Really welcome at first, they do spread like wildfire though, which can be a nuisance. Still, the vivid blooms are always welcome. New Toy ie Canon R6ii, RF24-105 lens, 30 sec, F9, iso 1000. Lit by torch/flashlight in garage!

Judith, you are truly skilled at creating elegant yet simple still life images, a skill I don't have, so nice job. In my VF I added a touch of backlight behind the bloom itself to separate it a bit from the solid black background Posted: 05/07/2025 13:21:01

You have another excellent still life. The bright flowers against a black background and the muted vase alone would be a great image. But you went beyond that by adding a wilting flower at the bottom to elevate the image. I am glad that you added a very thin boarder to separate the image from the black webpage.
