Your title is appropriate and you captured it beautifully. This image could be cropped and re-composed in a quite a few different ways - and all a matter of taste. Centered subjects aren't always ideal compositions although in this case it's not objectionable - having said that, in my VF I placed the sun on the rule of thirds because I didn't think the black enhanced the image and I thought by moving the sun I also moved the clouds above to balance the image. Not necessarily better, but an alternative   Posted: 12/02/2024 15:43:14

This is a striking photo! What a great capture! The dark bottom of the photo has no detail. The interest is in the light and gold tones. Butch's cropping is an improvement.   Posted: 12/13/2024 04:40:02

I really like the great colors, and that the small part of the setting sun is not blown out. The small rim of light on the landscape is great. The clouds really add to the image and help balance it. It is good that you added a small frame around the image to separate it from the black website. I do like the crop the Butch made.   Posted: 12/15/2024 22:08:58

Gaetan you got the colours and the setting sun moment right. The man made objects do not add anything and agree with Butch's recomposition. Also agree with Tom's comment of the border or the blacks of the image would have fused with that of dark background of the website. Well done.   Posted: 12/20/2024 09:51:05
