Absolutely stunning. If you ever have the chance I'd love to know how you created that image - creative, simple and evocative.   Posted: 11/08/2024 03:59:12

Hi and thanks. :)
It is as I pretty much said. Old sunflower petal floating on a thin layer of water in a black container.
Sidelit, studio strobes.
Then a bit of tidying up in PS.

:) that's how it was originally! After much humming and hawing I decided I preferred it vertical. But I'm still not sure! :)   Posted: 11/15/2024 08:54:50

The image flipped as I did is more natural, because it was the way that you photographed it. But the image vertical catches the eye, makes the viewer think, and I am sure would score higher in a competition.   Posted: 11/15/2024 18:27:19

What an inspiration your photos are! Try something new and wow. Vertical is totally creative and makes a great image for hanging on a modern wall. Thank you.   Posted: 11/15/2024 17:59:35

I agree with all the comments above. The image is unusual to say the least. Vertical presentation added to the mystique. Love the details in the shadows. I was wondering if the shadow was enhanced because of the black container? Very well done.   Posted: 11/26/2024 14:03:07
