About the Image(s)
This is a photo of a barn spider who built her web outside our front door one evening. She eat her web and the end of the night. A barn spider was the inspiration for “Charlotte’s Web.” She has moved on to some other site, so I haven’t had a chance to retake the shot.
Nikon Z8 with Nikkor Z 100-400 at 100mm. 1/200 sec, f/4.5, ISO 5000
Edited in DxO Photolab and Lightroom Classic. Any suggestions for better editing would be appreciated. In the meantime, hope that everyone is enjoying the Fall.

I like the approach you took to editing this image. The back lighting helped to illuminate the web. Your spider was sharp and nicely place at the center of the web.   Posted: 10/05/2026 01:35:05

Robert, once again you clarity and detail for a tiny portion of the original phot with great detail. I have no editing suggestions. You did a great job bringing up the web.   Posted: 10/08/2026 02:10:11
Robert, your decision to crop the image to enlarge the spider works well. Your lighting adjustments help us see the lines of the web better. Good details on the spider. Thanks for the information about the barn spider.   Posted: 10/10/2026 19:08:04
