About the Image(s)
In an effort to try something different and creative, I blended two images and then used Silver Efex Pro to make it into a sepia tone monochrome. I look forward to your thoughts and suggestions.

Hi Mary Ann,
You have brought this image to a "high level" through post processing. Your artistic enhancements have transformed a normal image into a compelling final image.
The sepia tone works well. I especialy like the long, messy, and unpolished mane of the horse. Well done!   Posted: 04/06/2026 04:56:42

Mary Ann, what a wonderful photo. You could have tweaked the original and gotten a good result. But by blending the additional image you achieved a much better result. The background blend image works perfectly to create the impression of wind which is consistent with the horse's mane. And that the horse's eye is visible through two strands of the mane is a great detail.   Posted: 04/07/2026 03:36:07

Mary Ann, your composite treatment of this image really enhances the feeling of wildness of the horse. The unruly messiness of the mane coordinates with the angled movement of the sky. The sepia tone of the monochrome works well. The placement of the horse's head in the frame, looking to the side provides an attractive composition. Excellent job, Mary Ann!

Mary Ann, your outstanding image definitely caught my eye. Your hard work instantly made me this this wild horse was caught in a heavy snow storm. Survival would have also been a good title. Your sepia tone monochrome worked extremely well. The image has great visual impact, interest and tells a good story.   Posted: 04/08/2026 20:37:42

Mary Ann, I think that adding the two additional photos and blending them has given a final photo that ia perhaps more interesting than the original, but since I do't see the original it is a little hard to judge. His eye is hidden under his mane, which is too bad, but I love his twisted body which gives more excitement to the image. The hills which you introduced add a great deal to the overall, producing a new environment for the horse, while the other original adds a feeling of the wind whipping the animal. Perhaps he enjoys it; who know Nice capture.   Posted: 04/15/2026 21:21:35
