About the Image(s)

I took this at the annual Sheep & Wool Festival here in Dutchess County, New York. It is a huge event featuring many stalls with wool, yarn, and knitting related items as well as multiple sheep competitions and exhibitions. A great opportunity for photography.

I took this with my Canon 90D 1/100 sec at f/6.3 ISO 3200. I did extensive post-processing in Lightroom, including increasing shadows, a Linear Gradient mask to bring up the colors in the yarn in the bottom right hand corner, Radial gradient masks to tone down the colors made too bright by the lamps in the booth, a linear gradient to tone down the light from the stall ceiling, and removed a brown distraction in the bottom right hand corner. I had cropped it down using the original 3:2 aspect ratio but still thought I had too much unnecessary material on both sides. But trying to crop those further cut into the essence of the photo. So I cropped to a 1:1 ratio. Finally I straightened it so the shelf on the left hand side was straight in the photo. I look forward to comments from the group.
