This image was taken in Mykonos, Greece in May. This one is one of the most elegant and eclectic neighborhoods in Mykonos called Little Venice. The beauty of the water, the wonderful houses with vibrant colors surrounding the water make this quarter a mini Venice.

What a surprising discovery so far away from Venice. . The thing that bothered me a bit was that everything was on the right side and nothing on h left. So I played with it a bit. I cropped the left side so , maybe, anther side of the Venice street could be found; also the bottom. I added some vibrance to it as h col ors are of paramount imagined. Kieu-Hanh, I was surprised that your photo was taken in Greece, not Italy. The brightly colored buildings right over the water are certainly intriguing. The hint of the reflection of the buildings in the water adds to the scene as well. I agree with Joan that buildings were on interest to me, and I was disappointed that they were only on the right half. I found myself wanting an angle that showed more of the buildings, maybe taken from a few feet to the left. Looks like a fascinating place to visit. Posted: 07/08/2025 01:20:38
I appreciate your comments, Ruth! Those old houses are restaurants, and shops, built close to the water's edge, some of which date back to the Venetian period. I wish that I could visit it by boats to have a better view of Little Italy. Posted: 07/23/2025 03:36:07
Kieu-Hahn, very nice capture of the vibrant colors of the houses with the mountains in the background. Only processing suggestion would be to eliminate the block with the blue line and an object on top of it on the top right. I am not troubled by the negative space on the left. I think it gives the location some perspective and allows the longer leading lines of the clouds to bring the eye towards the houses. I really like the reflection at the bottom right, which appears to be of a house that is not in the photo. Posted: 07/11/2025 00:38:52

Kieu-Hahn, What an interesting neighborhood in Greece and rightly nicknamed, Little Venice! I like how you captured the bright colored homes overlooking that beautiful blue sea. I also appreciate the red reflection in the lower right as it must be one of the houses that is not in the photo. It would be interesting to see a bit more of the buildings as suggested by Joan. I would suggest taking down some highlight in the lower clouds and maybe use the dehaze in the background. Another nice travel image. Posted: 07/15/2025 22:56:22
