About the Image(s)

I noticed the nectar on the stigma of the lilly’s pistil and initially thought the reflections from the kitchen would make a fun photo. I took a couple of test shots with the lens that I had on my camera and found the resemblance to a praying mantis to be more interesting. I decided to stick with the shot that I had instead of going to find my macro lens and a tripod.

Nikon Z8 with Nikkor Z 100-400 at 310 mm. 1/500 sec, f/8, ISO 20,000. Shot handheld. Noise reduction and sharpening in PhotoLab 8. Further editing in Lightroom Classic.
